The Beehive

a garden of crossing paths in the heart of Athens.

The Beehive is a new art and community space, created by Melissa Network — a grassroots organization working with migrant and refugee women from over 50 countries. Located in a restored interwar school, the Beehive is a living extension of Melissa’s work over the past decade: a space of care, creativity and community.

The Beehive hosts exhibitions, performances, workshops, lectures, discussions and trainings, advancing open dialogue and building community. More than a venue, the Beehive is a shared space for learning, unlearning, and reimagining. At a time of deepening social divides and shrinking civil space, the Beehive offers a bold alternative of belonging together.
